I create Encaustic art to explore the beauty in the everyday and the quiet depth beneath the surface. Each piece is a reflection of what I feel, see, and want to share.
ABOUT THE ART
The artist applies the wax medium in a molten state, then uses the heat of a torch to fuse and integrate other mediums and materials such as pigment drawing oils, powdered pigments, hand painted watercolour papers, and photos building richly layered, multi-dimensional works. Each piece is composed from the purest beeswax sourced from R&F Handmade Paints and birch wooden substrates, resulting in long lasting beautiful textures that feel both ethereal and tactile—qualities that are best appreciated in person.
